Walking with God,

Walking with One Another

Who We Are

What We Value

We remember Christ's love for us. We share joys and concerns and pray for each other. We discover how the scriptures can be relevant for our daily living. We sing songs of praise and glorify God. We hear a relevant message and are enhanced by an outstanding vocal choir.

Youth
We believe in and invest in our ministry to youth. Our church encourages kids to live out their faith and deepen their knowledge and love for Jesus Christ. There are opportunities for fun activities, small groups, Bible studies, community service, retreats, and mission trips. We believe that our youth are as instrumental in the life of our church as our adults. God is transforming countless lives in a variety of ways.

Invitation
Everyone is invited and welcome. We bring a message of hope, not condemnation. We proclaim that God's grace can come to anyone. We invite you to discover how being part of a Christian community can enhance your spiritual growth and positively impact your life. We admit we are imperfect people but we worship a loving and forgiving God. And we recognize that each one of us is beautifully and wonderfully made in God’s image.

Our Mission

Always listening for the call of the Holy Spirit and the needs in our community, LVPC shows up in love:

  • We listen for God's voice in Scripture and in worship, through prayer and in our daily walk of faith. We marvel at how God speaks through friend and stranger. We listen for God's call to action as we walk in our community and hear the needs of God's children.

  • We respond to God's call by showing up through mission and community outreach, by walking with one another through celebration and sorrow, through laughter or through tears.

  • We strive to build bridges throughout the community through interfaith activities to the Glory of God.

    What We Believe

LVPC is a congregation in the Presbyterian Church U.S.A, a Protestant denomination in the Reformed tradition. As such, we believe in God as the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit and that God reveals Godself through Jesus Christ, who is our savior.

We believe that God calls people to faith and that through the grace of God, in the death of Christ on the cross, we are reconciled to God and have eternal LIFE. It is everyone's job, ministers and lay people alike, to share this Good News with the whole world.

We believe that salvation is a gift from God. It is not achieved by anything that we do. Our faith is a grateful response to God’s grace.

We believe that life is not about us. It is about living for God, working to help others, and reflecting God's grace through Jesus Christ in hopes of making a positive impact.
