At LVPC, our goal is to praise God with variety of worship and worship arts.  Each Sunday, our regular worship schedule consists of two worship services.

Chapel Service: 8:30 - 9:15 AM (Contemplative and Traditional)
Our Chapel Service is a smaller gathering of people coming together to give thanks to God.  The service is traditional and incorporates prayer, hymns, the sharing of joys and concerns, fellowship, and the pastor's message. Childcare for infants to preschoolers is available.

Celebration Worship Service: 10:00 - 11:00 AM

Our Celebration Worship Service is our main service and blends elements of traditional and contemporary worship.  Depending on the Sunday, worship may include hymns, prayer, scripture, drama, audio-visual, special music, handbells, or an Ensemble and always a message for today from Dr. Nagel.

It incorporates the wide array of gifts and talents of the congregation.  Normally, during the Celebration Service, children are invited to participate in A Word With the Children before being dismissed to our Childrens' Journeys Sunday School Program.  Following the service, the congregation gathers in the Fellowship Hall for coffee and treats, and more importantly, a time of sharing our lives with each other.  Childcare for infants to preschoolers is available.

We invite you to attend any service that you desire, and the pastor's message is the same for all worship services.

Opening Up the Scriptures for Today

Using the scriptures, throughout the year, Dr. Nagel delivers a wide variety of sermons to the congregation using different preaching perspectives.  He wants the congregation to concentrate on making God part of our daily living, and thus, he delivers a message that is both scripturally and socially relevant each week.  To hear some of Dr. Nagel's sermons on justification, grace, baptism, Christian community, Christian witness, and skepticism click on the following link.
