LVPC is a congregation in the Presbyterian Church U.S.A, a protestant Christian denomination in the Reformed tradition.  As such, we believe in God as the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit and that God reveals Godself through Jesus Christ, who is our savior.

We believe that God calls people to faith, and that through the grace of God, in the death of Christ on the cross, we are reconciled to God and have eternal live.  It is everyone's job - ministers and lay people alike - to share this Good News with the whole world.

We believe that salvation is a gift from God.  It is not achieved by anything that we do.  Our faith is a response to grace.

We believe that life is not about us.  Life is about living for God, working to help others in our community and world, and showing in our lives how God's grace in Jesus Christ makes a difference.
