The Music Ministry of LVPC strives to be a community of faith within a community of faith, presenting meaningful sacred music in a variety of styles to minister to God’s people for the glory of God. We seek to enhance the worship experience by presenting high quality, liturgically relevant works at a high level of musicianship.
The Chancel Choir, directed by Rob Walters, sings every Sunday from September through June at the 10:00 AM service, and rehearses Thursday evenings. The choir is featured at our annual “Cantata Sunday” service during Advent, as well as on Good Friday. The choir also provides special music at the Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, and Christmas Eve services.
The Handbell Choir, under the direction of Jorge Castro, performs intermittently through the year, including Palm Sunday and the 7:30 Christmas Eve service. The Bell Choir frequently joins the choir for special musical offerings.
Music programs at LVPC also include collaborations with our youth, informal summer “pickup choir,” instrumental performances, and our “Joyful Java” coffeehouse.
